AI Product Manager, Life Sciences

About the Role

Patsnap is transforming professional knowledge work with AI. Built on our deep expertise in global patent, scientific, R&D, and life sciences data, we are developing AI Agent products for complex workflows such as drug discovery research, scientific literature analysis, competitive intelligence, and R&D decision-making.

We are looking for an AI Product Manager who can connect user needs, life sciences workflows, and AI capabilities to build products that deliver real business value to pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, research institutions, and other life sciences organizations.

Responsibilities

1. AI Product Strategy & Design

• Understand user needs and professional workflows across pharmaceutical R&D and life sciences, and identify high-value opportunities for AI transformation.

• Define product vision, requirements, prototypes, and roadmaps, and drive execution from concept to launch.

• Prioritize product development based on customer feedback, product data, and business impact.

2. AI × Life Sciences Workflows

• Translate workflows such as drug discovery research, scientific literature review, target and drug analysis, clinical evidence analysis, and competitive intelligence into effective AI-powered product experiences.

• Work closely with AI engineers, developers, data teams, and life sciences experts to turn scientific knowledge and professional workflows into scalable product capabilities.

• Understand the strengths and limitations of LLMs, RAG, Agents, and related AI technologies, and continuously improve product accuracy, reliability, and usability.

3. Go-to-Market & Commercialization

• Define target users, key use cases, product positioning, and value propositions for pharmaceutical, biotech, and research customers.

• Develop product demos, customer scenarios, and ROI cases to support product adoption and key sales opportunities.

• Work with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to collect market feedback, build customer success stories, and improve product commercialization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Engineering, Science, Business, or a related field.

• 5+ years of product management experience in technology, AI, SaaS, enterprise software, or related products.

• Good understanding of AI technologies and products, including LLMs, RAG, Agents, NLP, or related areas.

• Strong ability to understand complex professional workflows, identify core user problems, and translate them into clear product solutions.

• Strong learning ability and willingness to quickly build an understanding of pharmaceutical R&D and life sciences workflows.

• Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and execution skills.

• Professional working proficiency in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building AI Agent, Copilot, AI Search, or AI Research products from 0 to 1.

• Academic or professional experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or related fields, or experience building products for pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, or research institutions.

• Experience working on global products or with international customers.
